## Daily Overview

Hi Folks today we determined how to find the trigonometric ratios (sine, cosine, and tangent) of any angle using a point on the terminal arm.

My lesson plan is attached below. Since there were lots of people away I have also decided to attach a copy of the completed SmartBoard notes. They didn't convert to PDF perfectly but they should do. Use your textbook to figure out the weird parts.

## GeoGebra Web Applet

Today we used a web applet to explore trig ratios. Just click on the button below to start it in your browser.

For the technologically curious (I know there are a few of you), I created the applet using GeoGebra - an opensource/free piece of software for doing geometry. See http://www.geogebra.org

## Homework

Do the following problems from Section 2.2 of your text, pages 96 - 98

#1 - 6, 16, 18, 22

My reason for assigning homework is to give you a chance to practise. Marks are there to encourage you to do the work. Effort and hard work are what matters to me. So I will give your paper a score of

- completess

- step by step solutions (i.e. show your work)

- clarity (e.g. making sure the problem is clearly labelled)

- self correction (i.e. check you answers in the back and mark your paper)

#1 - 6, 16, 18, 22

**Due: Monday, February 17.**

Homework Expectations:

I expect that all homework is neatly completed on a sheet of loose leaf paper with your full name at the top. Each question should be indicated and all necessary steps in your work is to be shown with your final answer neatly indicated. I recommend you check your answers in the back of the book.Homework Expectations:
